More and more groups are finding that Coogee Croquet Club is one of the best locations in the eastern suburbs to hold an outdoor function. Plan a unique corporate function / team building event or liven up birthday parties and other social get-togethers by booking our croquet lawns and our well equipped clubhouse.

What to Expect
Croquet Play
All croquet equipment, mallets, balls and hoops will be provided. We will set up the lawns, open up the Club for you, and give you a brief instruction (that's all it needs) on the great game of Golf Croquet. At the end of the day a Club member will unset the lawns and lock up.

We have two lawns, so up to 16 people can have fun playing this fast-moving game at the same time. Games take about 45 minutes or less. So, it is usual for people to play a bit, rest, then play again.
Your guests will need to wear flat soled shoes. Of course, a hat and sunscreen on a sunny day are always a good idea. The mallet is swung between your legs so long pants or shorts, rather than a skirt, are recommended.
The Clubhouse and Outside Areas
A roomy space with long wooden tables and chairs that can be moved outside and a small kitchen with a guest refrigerator, microwave and hot and cold water dispenser. Two 3mx3m collapsible marquees can be set up together, adjacent to the lawns, to provide a substantial shady area for sit-down dining and drinking.
Food and Drinks
Our clubhouse and lawnside areas are available for you to do your own catering. The Club is not licensed. We recommend a buffet to allow your guests to move freely, play games, eat and socialise, before playing another game. Depending on the size of your party you may wish to supply your own glasses, plates and cutlery. An electric BBQ is available for use (hirer responsible for cleaning) and an ice bucket for your ice. We recycle 10 cent bottles and cans.

Please Note:
Minimum age for players is 12 years. Younger children are welcome but they must be supervised at all times and they must not be allowed to stray onto the lawns. An enthusiastically hit ball can cause serious damage to little feet and legs.

Hiring Fees
Social and Corporate Hiring
For private functions: $20 per person with a minimum hire charge of $300. A deposit of $300 is required to confirm a private booking.
For corporate functions: $30 per person with a minimum hire charge of $450. A deposit of $450 is required to confirm a corporate booking.

A $100 refundable cleaning bond is required before the function date.

Clubhouse Hiring
As well as one-off function hire including croquet play (described above), our Clubhouse is available for hire to hold meetings on a regular, occasional or one-off basis. (It is not suitable for children's activities.)
The cost is $100 per session to be paid four weeks in advance.
